Gosport & District Angling Club was formed in 1949 and we have our clubhouse at Stokes Bay over looking the Solent. Gosport is situated in the south of England between the Cities of Southampton and Portsmouth. We have nearly 200 members and regularly hold beach and boat competitions. We also have a junior section which meet weekly and also hold regular beach competitions. All our Beach/Boat Competitions use a Catch and Return policy. Our Constitution: "Always to uphold and further interest in the sport of angling and maintain for the purpose a fleet of club boats and an established clubhouse incorporating social and recreational amenities ancillary to these interests."
We are a long established Angling Club (Founded 1949) with our clubhouse on the shore at Stokes Bay over looking the Solent. We have a Boat Section which hold 10 competitions, and a Beach Section which holds 18 competitions throughout the year. We also have a Junior Section that meets on a Tuesday Evening and are currently looking for new members, so if you are interested pop along to the club on a Tuesday Evening. All other prospective members are welcome to pop in the club on a Friday Evening for a drink and a chat you are most welcome. Want to know more click here: About Us. We have a large and popular Junior Section who meet in the club on a Tuesday evening, they hold a Tuesday evening league as well 10 normal beach competitions a year, once a year we hold a junior open beach competition, to learn more click "Junior Section" in the menu on the left.

The Club is open most nights of the week and at the weekends so why not pop in for a chat? Our doors are open to new prospective members and you are always welcome. Alternatively you can contact us here.
The bar will closed early if no members are present in the club You can use the club for Functions i.e. Parties, Anniversaries etc. Forms can be downloaded, use the download link here. Alternatively forms obtainable in the clubhouse if you require one. Members still have the right to use the club, so bear this in mind when booking a function. We suggest that it is advisable to submit application two months before the event club social events must take priority. Bingo is held every other Sunday, GUESTS MUST PAY A 50p ENTRY FEE
The club has a secure boat compound where members can work on their boats we are restricted to the size of craft that can be berthed there, if you are a member of the club you can apply for a boat berth, application forms are available as a download. Prospective members who are joining the club and have a boat must have their membership accepted. Once you a member you can apply for a boat berth. Check with the Boat Berth Officer for availability.
Membership Classes & Fees
All juniors 8 to 18 years with a Parent/Guardian holding Full Membership are entitled to full Junior Membership FREE! In accordance with Club Rule 2.1. |
